Getting started with electrification
As a local logistics player in Ghent, TML has taken the first step to electrify its fleet.
Led by Pieter Balcaen, Chairman of the Board at TML, who believes electrification is a no-brainer:
“My advice is simple: there is no alternative, so just start with it. You need to start to have the know-how to continue because it's quite difficult”.
By introducing 10 eHDVs into the local operation in and around Ghent, the team are learning on the job, with short journeys and strategic charging.
As Volvo is our long-term partner, the new Milence hub at Ghent offers a convenient charging location, ideal for this learning and testing period.

Each of their hubs is strategically located in and around major freight corridors to support busy logistics regions, such as Ghent.
Milence works closely with TML to design electrification strategies that support a phased, long-term approach.
