8 new electric trucks
Tailormade Logistics Group (TML) takes an important step in its sustainability strategy with the purchase of eight new fully electric trucks in 2025. This expansion is a great complement to the two electric vehicles that have been in successful operation since 2023. What started as a pilot project has today become a structural part of TML's green future vision.
The festive inauguration of the new trucks took place at the Visitor Centre of the Volvo Trucks factory in Oostakker (Ghent) – a symbolic location, as TML is both a supplier and a customer here.
During the event, the keys were officially handed over in the presence of several distinguished guests, including:
Mathias De Clercq, Mayor of Ghent
Sofie Bracke, Alderman for Economy and Work
Cas König, CEO of North Sea Port
Bert Vandecaveye, Founder and CEO of Tailormade Logistics
With this investment, TML highlights its ongoing commitment to sustainable mobility and its role as a pioneer in the logistics sector.
“Sustainability is no longer an experiment for us, but a daily reality,” says Bert Vandecaveye, CEO of Tailormade Logistics. “With the expansion of our electric fleet, we are once again taking a step forward towards emission-free logistics and a future-proof business model.”
The electric trucks will primarily be used for regional distribution in Flanders and northern France, where TML aims to further reduce its ecological footprint and offer its customers more environmentally friendly transport solutions.
